Club Programme

WED EVENINGS 7-9PM

PLEASE ARRIVE AT 6.45pm TO ALLOW TIME FOR SET-UP & PAYING SUBS

The club’s programme is not restricted to term times, so there are no breaks at half term etc, and the structure of the programme will be in a 6 week format.

 

Please note: only bona fide members and guests permitted to Life Drawing sessions, and no cameras or other digital recording equipment permitted in the studio.

*Only fully paid-up members can attend Life drawing sessions.

Come along and have your say about the club.

5th Nov – Life Drawing – Georgette

12th Nov – Member Led by Neil Mawdsley:

A workshop consisting of a demo in watercolour, and a short video on Majorca tram ride from Palma to Soller (your choice of medium). 

 

19th Nov – Life Drawing – Andrea

 

26th Nov – Member Led by Mike Battley:

A Still Life set-up to paint in the saturated colour style of Peter Graham, using the examples of Peter Graham’s work from ‘the Artist’ magazine articles supplied (these include step-by-step guides, including landscape/cityscape/waterfront images for those of you not wanting to paint from Still Life but from your own photo images).

3rd Dec - Life Drawing – Rhiannon

10th Dec –   Demo/Workshop: 

Presented by watercolour artist Janet Austen:  All materials will be supplied. 

FRIDAY 12th Dec FROM 6PMCHRISTMAS SOCIAL*

Includes Claude Kitto Award* (please bring some of your work for the vote), 'Best painting of the year' award, and the Xmas quiz.

Christmas roast buffet, music and drinks bar. £10 per head.

21st Jan – Member Led by Mark Hannon

A workshop covering illustrative techniques (eg line work and solid shading) used to create cartoons. Exploring the definition of a cartoon... Simply the Simpsons or Beryl Cook/Van Gogh/Edvard Munch? Bring markers/sharpies/pencils/inks.. whatever medium you fancy to create single colour artwork.
